Our Tuesday evening Time Trials consisting of a 4 –and -8km route or our very popular Pack Runs on Saturday mornings where a group of runners meet at Lord Charles in Somerset West for a long run.

Time Trials:
Tuesdays at 18h00
We meet every Tuesday evening at 17:50 at the Charles Morkel Stadium in Church street, Strand to celebrate birthdays, update
you on coming races, feedback on great results achieved and to inform you of any other relevant information. Time Trial
starts promptly at 18:00 where you have the option to run either a 4km or 8km route. Afterwards we meet for a beer in
the club, braai every now and then and announce our Strandloper and runner of the month once a month.
Pack Runs:
Saturdays at 06h00
Organised by Pierre, we meet at the Lord Charles at 06:00 in the morning for a long run at a pace of 05:30
– 06:20min/km. You will soon come to understand the difference between a “platte” and a “plat platte”! Pierre and his
very reliable team will treat you with water and coke every 3-4km’s where we stop and wait for the pack to regroup before
we all start again. The longer the run the bigger the menu to choose from … cake, sweets and home made sarmies.

Max Training Group:
Mondays and Thursdays at 17h45 (summer) and 17h30 (winter)
This is a very enthusiastic group of athletes, willing to put in the extra effort intraining in orderto be the best athletes they can be within their own circumstances and time constraints. If you do all your running and training at one pace, then you’ll run all your races at the same pace and never improve.The aim of the group is to improve strength and speed by following a structured program.
At regular intervals there are also evaluation sessions to check each athlete’s progress.
Training days are Mondays and Thursdays, starting at 17h45 (summer) and 17:30 (winter).. On Mondays we get together at Parelvallei High School gate, and the session is normally hill work, while on Thursdays we train at the athletic track of Strand High School.
